"I can hardly tell one bourbon from another, unless the other is very bad." W. Percy
Thursday, March 29
A quick shot of Evan Williams before heading into bed. I've the freedom to drink bourbon but none of the time to enjoy it. I'd fill up the flask and carry it with me if it weren't for the Children of Israel, who (as well all know) were scorned for keeping (or trying to keep) more manna with them than had been provided for that day alone. I do not know about the solidity of my exegesis, but I do know: better to approach the Sacred Text with fear. Especially if one's life revolves around booze, laziness and profanity, and thus is all the more worthy of condemnation! I am not, of course, dear reader, referring to myself. It's just that I know a guy.
