Sunday, March 11th

I must admit it has been a lovely day. I neither head to work nor sit at home with homework. Spring Break (SPRING BREAK!!!! [see Cancun, a severe tanning, Music Television, and the sudden removal of clothing which in more decent times would not be removed]) has come and we are given a slow afternoon.

I hide a little bit of sweet soda in two herculean pours of Evan Williams. Suddenly I am on youtube watching a German history of Charlemagne. It is dreadfully old-school - no moving pictures, no ghastly over-the-top reproductions of battles. Just still-shots and a rather cogent German narrator. Sip. Good Lord, Evan, did you ever know such times as these? Two more sips. Ah, deals with the Pope, Evan - never make them. I hear boring descriptions of battles while looking at a picture of some river and suddenly feel myself a son of Europe.
